This is no fairy tale...

Agh! What will I ever tell my children before they go to sleep?

Reading criticism on fairy tales. Oh dear. Apparently, if I ever read any of the Grimm tales to my children I'll be preconditioning them into either A) girls living their life with a whole load of 'victim mentality' or B) boys who are scared of women and/or fantasize about rape.

So what I'm apparently supposed to do is fall back on the original oral tales, not messed up by male writers who seem to have had some, uh, troubles. Or write them stories myself. Or read them the excellent 'politically-correct' versions I laughed so much about earlier this year.

Oh boy.
